Report: Bedbug Problem Aboard N Train Subway Line May Be Worse Than Originally Feared

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – The bedbug problem which required the fumigation of three N train subway cars may be more extensive than originally thought.
The New York Daily News reported Thursday that bedbugs were found in a fourth car and in the lockers of two N train crew workers, as well as at a conductor’s home.

The critters were found in the seat cushions of the train cabs, where motormen and conductors sit.
That’s not providing much comfort to riders who spoke with 1010 WINS’ John Montone.
“When you sit down, you attract them. So if you don’t sit down, may you can not attract them, so maybe I won’t sit down when I get on the train,” a rider named Jeff told Montone.
“It’s disgusting, I mean we sit on these chairs every day and then we have to go home, and I sit on my bed when I go home,” another rider told Montone.
The Transit Workers Union is calling on the MTA to fumigate the entire line, Montone reported.


해당 열차는 운행중단되었지만 저 기관사나 다른 사람들 통해서 이미 퍼졌을 수도 있을 거라 예측해봅니다..
열차뿐 아니라 캐비넷과 기관사들 집에서도 발견되었다고 하니까요.. ㅠㅠ
다른 기사를 참고해보니 이틀전 첫 발견 당시에는 세 대의 객차에서만 발견되었는데 이 기사에선 네번째 다른 열차에서 추가로 발견되었다는 것 같습니다.
지하철을 안탈수도 없고 더욱이 버스는 시트가 쿠션이니 특별히 조심해야 할 것 같아요
